How to Send Flowers to a Cruise Cabin at Port Canaveral

Port Canaveral overtook PortMiami to become the busiest cruise port in the world, and it is not really a city port at all. The terminals sit on the Space Coast with a thin strip of beach hotels beside them and Orlando an hour inland. The passenger you are sending to is as likely to be near Disney World as near the ship.

Volume figures count passenger movements, which include people getting off as well as getting on. They indicate how busy a port is, not how many cabins sail from it.

Which of the three paths works here

1

Cruise line pre-order

6 lines sailing from Port Canaveral run their own gift desk with a published ordering deadline. This is the only route that puts flowers in the cabin. The deadlines are below and they are earlier than most people expect.

2

Pre-cruise hotel drop

Workable, but only if you know which end of the county they are sleeping in. Ask before you order. A Cocoa Beach florist sending to an International Drive hotel in Orlando is an hour each way and will usually decline or surcharge it. Confirm the hotel name and the night, then match the florist to that city rather than to the port.

3

Terminal and pier delivery

Six terminals on Charles Rowland Drive inside a secured port authority facility. Turnaround days move enormous volumes through a small footprint. There is no consumer route to hand flowers to a boarding passenger here.

Cruise line gift desks at Port Canaveral

One listing per line, carrying that line's own published wording. Where a line contradicts itself, the listing prints both statements rather than choosing between them.

Terminal assignments change between seasons and between ships on the same line. Confirm against the booking before you rely on one.

Where the pre-cruise hotels are

A hotel drop only works if you send to the building the guest is actually sleeping in. These are the clusters that matter at this port.

Cocoa Beach

The closest real hotel cluster to the terminals, about fifteen minutes away. If the guest is staying local the night before, this is usually where.

Cape Canaveral and Merritt Island

Port-adjacent chain hotels built for cruise passengers and park-and-cruise packages. Unglamorous and very close.

Orlando and the airport corridor

An hour inland, and the reason this port needs its own warning. A great many Port Canaveral passengers overnight in Orlando, not at the coast, and a delivery aimed at the coast will miss them entirely.

No florist listed for this port yet

We have not yet found a florist serving Cape Canaveral whose own published material names the hotels used by embarking passengers or documents a cruise delivery process. Until one clears that bar it does not go on this page. Most search results for florists near a cruise port are national order-gathering sites that pass the order to whoever will take it, which is exactly the arrangement that fails on a sailing morning.

If the ship has already sailed

Nothing lands on a ship that has left. Disney and Royal Caribbean both run large turnarounds here and neither will forward a gift to a later port for you. If the ship has sailed, the flowers are a loss. A florist who has already built the arrangement will normally keep the money.
