Then we read that material ourselves and quote the deadline word for word. Where we could not find a deadline we could quote, the entry says so and prints no deadline at all, rather than repeating a number from somewhere else.

Plenty do not clear that bar. Searching for a florist near any cruise port returns mostly national order-gathering pages built to rank for the port name, which then hand your order to whichever local shop accepts it. That is precisely the arrangement that fails on a sailing morning, and listing those pages would make this directory worse rather than bigger.
