The best hotel drop on this site. Confirm the property and the night, send it to arrive the evening before, and put the passenger's name and the sailing date on the card so the front desk holds it rather than turning it away. Beach and causeway properties are close enough that a same-day order placed in the morning is realistic.
Terminal and pier delivery
A secured port with terminals split across Northport and Midport, sharing gates with one of the busiest petroleum and container operations in Florida. Access is controlled at the gate.
This is a real option here, and the one to take the most care with. Deliveries onto a ship go through the vessel's agent and suppliers who hold port credentials. Some florists can arrange that. More advertise it than can actually do it. Before you rely on it, ask three questions and expect clear answers to all three: have they delivered to this specific terminal before, who signs for it at the other end, and can they get it there several hours before departure rather than close to sailing time. Where the pre-cruise hotels are
A hotel drop only works if you send to the building the passenger is actually sleeping in. These are the clusters that matter at this port.
Fort Lauderdale Beach
A dense strip of hotels ten to fifteen minutes from the terminals and the single best hotel-drop target at any port on this list. Short run, many properties, heavily used by embarking passengers.
17th Street Causeway
The closest cluster to the port gates, built around the convention centre and marina. Minutes from the terminals.
Airport and Dania Beach
Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International is unusually close to the port. Airport hotels here are a genuine pre-cruise option rather than a compromise.

If the ship has already sailed
Once the lines are off, that is the end of it. Port Everglades runs a heavy weekend turnaround and the terminals empty fast, and no line covered here will move a gift to a later port for you.
