Bon voyage flowers
Bon voyage flowers are the send-off, and the ship will not take them at the gangway just because the card says bon voyage. Holland America is the line that publishes a page for bon voyage gifts. The other working paths are the hotel the night before and credentialed terminal delivery. We do not sell flowers and we do not take orders.
Order from the cruise line gift desk
Holland America’s own question is "Can I send bon voyage gifts and packages?" Prepaid gift orders must be received two weeks in advance of sailing. That is the figure that governs. The same page says some last-minute gift orders may be charged to a card up to two working days before sailing. That later window is permission, not a deadline you can plan on. Holland America publishes no flower-specific cutoff, so a flower order inherits the gift deadline. Its know-before-you-go page lists flowers among gift-order items. Orders go through Ship Services, (800) 541-1576, not a cart. Cunard’s published catalogue includes a Sailaway Bouquet, ordered by phone. Celebrity cruisers reported phoning for bon voyage flowers; flowers on that gift desk are unverified, so the report is not a working cabin path.
Send to the hotel the night before
If two weeks has already gone, the hotel the night before is the bon voyage you can still count. You need the name on the room, the hotel, and the night. How it works tells you to write "arriving [date], sailing the next day" on the card. A Holland America traveler report about a missing flower gift was a Vancouver sailing. The hotel drops below name Coal Harbour hotels, not Canada Place as a terminal.
Credentialed terminal delivery
Credentialed terminal delivery is the bon voyage that meets the ship at the port, not inside the cabin. My Divine Decors publishes TWIC credentials and a PortMiami delivery for passengers, crew, and port staff. The Flower Shop Southampton states it cannot deliver to cruise ships unless arranged beforehand. Solent Stems arranges Southampton cruise terminals, and selected Portsmouth Harbour sailings, in advance. How it works is where to put the three questions about terminal, signature, and hours before departure.
How it works walks through the three paths. Each line has its program and the quoted cutoff. The cutoff table lists every line side by side.
Gift-desk deadlines for this occasion
Quoted from each line’s record. Nothing here is a price we set or a cutoff we estimated. A gift desk where flowers are unverified is not a working cabin-flower path. When a line publishes more than one figure, this table shows the one that governs a flower order and the line page quotes the rest.

Notes for this occasion
Bon voyage gifts and celebration packages
Holland America’s bon voyage page is a gift order, and the know-before-you-go page lists flowers among gift-order items "at very reasonable prices." No number is published with that sentence. The conflict on that page is the whole planning rule: two weeks prepaid is what you can rely on; two working days is some orders that may be charged to a card. Princess publishes celebration packages and 1-855-500-7690, and flowers on that gift desk are unverified. A P&O traveler report described a top celebration package of about £425 with cabin flowers among the extras; the flowers died after a couple of days on one sailing, and a cabin change meant the package never reached the new cabin on the next. Cruisers searching Norwegian celebration packages reported no flowers listed. None of those packages replaces the cutoff table.
What to write in the order note
Holland America expects a phone call to Ship Services. A traveler report said the line would not look into a missing Vancouver flower gift without the passenger’s booking number and email, and replies advised telling the recipient in advance so a missing gift can be raised on board. Have the booking number before you call, and tell the passenger a gift is coming. Cunard requires the recipient’s full name and date of birth. On a hotel drop, write "arriving [date], sailing the next day," from How it works. Solent Stems takes cruise date, ship, terminal, and occasion. My Divine Decors says every ship handles the handoff its own way: customs checkpoint with TWIC cards, or the port security gate. Confirm which one for that ship.
Timing on embarkation day
A bon voyage that arrives the next morning has missed the send-off. Cunard says gifts are delivered on the day they embark, and that high demand can push some flowers to the following day. It is the line that warns you in writing. Carnival can deliver anytime between 10:00am and 9:00pm, so a passenger boarding early may reach the cabin first, and an order placed on embarkation day cannot be guaranteed that day. Royal Caribbean delivers flower arrangements on embarkation day. Norwegian may deliver flowers only on the first day. Holland America traveler reports disagreed: one said pre-order delivery was embarkation day only, and others said arrangements pre-ordered for embarkation day were as nice as onboard ones. The published clock is still two weeks.
Cabin vase rules, including taking flowers home
Holland America traveler reports say the vase is yours to keep and that the onboard florist will box a Delft vase for a suitcase. Vases sold separately were reported from about $17.50. That is the opposite of what other cruisers reported elsewhere. Princess cruisers said flowers cannot be taken off the ship. Celebrity cruisers on Silhouette said flowers cannot be taken back into the U.S., and that stewards or butlers supply a vase if you brought flowers aboard. Virgin Voyages does not allow fresh-cut flowers on board at all, and asks that flowers brought off the ship be declared to customs and agriculture officials. One poster in a Celebrity thread said Royal Caribbean at Miami had binned a bouquet at boarding. That is one report, not a rule, and it is why a hand-carried bon voyage is the fragile path.
Listings
La Bomba and Vancouver Red Rose are Coal Harbour hotel drops beside Canada Place, not a terminal desk. Pike Place Flowers is a Seattle hotel drop. The three terminal listings are My Divine Decors at PortMiami and the two Southampton florists that say cruise delivery has to be arranged.

Ports
- Port of Vancouver
Vancouver is the Canada Alaska homeport at Canada Place. It is not Seattle's Pier 91, and it is not a Juneau call. A florist in Vancouver, Washington is a different city. Holland America's opened Vancouver page names Canada Place on the embarkation walk-up.
- PortMiami
PortMiami sits on Dodge Island, reached by one bridge and one tunnel, with the city immediately across the water. It looks close, and it is close, which is exactly why people assume a florist can drive over and hand flowers to someone boarding. Getting onto the island is the part that is harder than it looks. MSC, Oceania, and Regent Seven Seas sail from here; we have not found a passenger flower desk for those lines, so there is nothing further to hunt on their sites. Virgin Voyages, which also sails from here, publishes flower add-on packages for Miami departures.
- Port of Southampton
Southampton is the busiest cruise port in the United Kingdom and the only one on this list where a transatlantic liner still runs a scheduled service. Five terminals are split between the Eastern Docks, entered at Dock Gate 4, and the Western Docks at Dock Gate 10. They are a couple of miles apart and the gate you need is decided by your ship, not your preference.
- Port of Seattle
Seattle is the most walkable cruise port on this list and also the most seasonal. Alaska sailings run a compressed summer season, which means turnaround days are concentrated and floral demand at the terminals spikes hard on the same weekday every week. The two terminals are four miles apart and serve completely different lines, so confirm which one before you assume anything.
Questions
How do I send bon voyage flowers to a cruise ship?
Start with the cruise line gift desk. On Holland America that is the bon voyage gift order: prepaid two weeks ahead, by phone to Ship Services. You order from the line; the line delivers to the stateroom, usually on embarkation day. If that window has closed, use the hotel the night before. Credentialed terminal delivery is the third path, at ports where a florist publishes a real handoff. How it works walks through all three. We do not sell flowers or take orders.
What deadline does Holland America publish for bon voyage gifts?
Gift orders must be prepaid and received two weeks in advance of sailing. That quote governs. The same page also says some last-minute gift orders may be charged to a card up to two working days before sailing. Holland America publishes no flower-specific deadline, so flowers inherit the gift clock. The line page prints the conflict. The cutoff table shows the governing quote beside the other lines.
Can bon voyage flowers be delivered to the terminal?
At some ports, through credentialed terminal delivery, not through a shop that only plans to leave them at a gate. My Divine Decors publishes TWIC credentials for PortMiami. The Flower Shop Southampton says it cannot deliver to cruise ships unless arranged beforehand. Solent Stems arranges Southampton terminals in advance. Ask who signs, and whether the flowers can be there several hours before departure. How it works puts those questions in one place.
What if the bon voyage flowers never reach the cabin?
A Holland America traveler report from a Vancouver sailing said a website flower order never arrived, and the line would not look into it without the passenger’s booking number and email. Replies said to tell the recipient in advance so a missing gift can be raised on board. Cunard warns that high demand can move flowers to the day after embarkation. Neither sentence is a refund policy. This site does not sell the flowers and does not chase the order. The line page is who you phone.
Other occasions
- Anniversary flowers on a cruise
A cabin surprise only when the gift desk delivers it, plus what a celebration package does not promise.
- Honeymoon cruise flowers
Virgin Voyages flower packages are cabin delivery from Miami and San Juan only, and a hotel bouquet cannot be carried aboard that line.
- Birthday flowers on a cruise
A birthday package is not automatically flowers. Disney’s cupcake clock is not the flower clock.
