Anniversary flowers on a cruise

Anniversary flowers on a cruise land in the cabin only when the cruise line gift desk delivers them. The hotel the night before and credentialed terminal delivery are the other two paths, and neither one is a cabin address. This is a directory and how-to. We do not sell flowers and we do not take orders.

1

Order from the cruise line gift desk

Order from the cruise line gift desk while its deadline is still open. You order from the line; the line delivers to the stateroom, usually on embarkation day. Princess publishes celebration packages and the phone line 1-855-500-7690 for planning a special celebration, and flowers on that desk are unverified. Carnival’s Fun Shops catalogue includes Classic Romance with White Wine and Classic Romance with Red Wine. Virgin Voyages sells a pre-voyage add-on described as a dozen fresh roses for that special someone, only on voyages departing Miami and San Juan. Norwegian’s English catalogue names Flowers and Romance Package orders; US homeports on that record stay unverified.

2

Send to the hotel the night before

If that deadline has already passed, use the hotel the night before. You need the name the room is booked under, the specific hotel, and the night. How it works tells you to write "arriving [date], sailing the next day" on the card. Send it for the evening before, not the morning of departure.

3

Credentialed terminal delivery

Credentialed terminal delivery is a handoff at the port, through the ship’s agent and florists who can actually get in. It does not, by itself, put an anniversary arrangement on the cabin table. The terminal listings below are the ones in this directory that publish a port-credential or arranged cruise-terminal path. Ask whether they have delivered to that terminal, who signs for it, and whether they can get it there several hours before departure.

How it works walks through the three paths. Each line has its program and the quoted cutoff. The cutoff table lists every line side by side.

Gift-desk deadlines for this occasion

Quoted from each line’s record. Nothing here is a price we set or a cutoff we estimated. A gift desk where flowers are unverified is not a working cabin-flower path. When a line publishes more than one figure, this table shows the one that governs a flower order and the line page quotes the rest.

Notes for this occasion

Pairing with the line’s celebration packages

A celebration package is not a flower order unless that line’s flower record says so. Princess publishes a celebration-packages page; the sentence we could quote is the phone line for a special celebration, and flowers on the Princess gift desk are unverified. P&O sells florist packages under its own four-day rule. Separately, a traveler report (not a catalogue price) described a couple who twice bought P&O’s top celebration package, about £425, with cabin flowers among the extras: the flowers died after a couple of days on the first sailing, and a cabin change on the second meant none of the package reached the new cabin. Norwegian’s record names Flowers and Romance Package orders in one published note and a one-week flower rule in the quote that governs. Cruisers searching Norwegian’s Gifts and More and celebration packages reported finding no flowers listed. Read the line page before you assume the package includes stems.

What to write in the order note

On a hotel drop, use the card line already on How it works: "arriving [date], sailing the next day." The anniversary itself belongs in the message on that card, not in a field we found a line requiring. On a gift-desk order, give the line what its record asks for. Cunard takes the order by phone and requires the recipient’s full name and date of birth. Cruisers sending flowers to another Princess cabin were pointed to the passenger’s name plus a booking number. Solent Stems, for a Southampton terminal delivery, arranges the cruise date, the ship, the terminal, and the occasion in advance. La Bomba’s Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel drop in Vancouver requires vase style and guest or room notes.

Timing on embarkation day

Carnival says items ordered through The Fun Shops before embarkation day, for delivery that day, can be delivered anytime between 10:00am and 9:00pm, and an order placed on embarkation day cannot be guaranteed that day. A passenger who boards early as Diamond, Platinum, in a suite, or with Faster to the Fun may reach the stateroom before the flowers. Royal Caribbean says flower arrangements are delivered on embarkation day. Cunard says gifts go to the suite or stateroom on the day they embark, and that unusually high demand can push some flowers to the following day. Norwegian says flowers may only be delivered on the first day of the sailing. P&O says items are provided on the first day of the cruise, not at the terminal door. A Princess traveler report said an anniversary arrangement arrived on time and looked nice, and that one Guest Services form filled in around 6pm was delivered by noon the next day. That report is not a cutoff, and Princess flowers are unverified here.

Cabin vase rules

There is no single cabin vase rule. Virgin Voyages states Sailors are not permitted to bring potted or fresh-cut flowers on board, so a hotel bouquet cannot be carried onto a Virgin ship. Holland America traveler reports, which are not line policy, say the vase with a stateroom arrangement is yours to keep, that the onboard florist will box a Delft vase for a suitcase, and that a pre-order usually comes with a standard glass vase. Vases sold separately were reported from about $17.50. Another report said onboard choices each came with a Delft vase that had to be bought. Royal Caribbean cruisers leaving Seattle said cabin stewards supplied a vase or an ice bucket when they carried market flowers aboard. Princess cruisers in the same thread both asked the steward for a vase and pointed at a wedding-terms page that cites U.S. rules against bringing flowers aboard; flowers, they said, cannot be taken off the ship. Celebrity cruisers on Silhouette said stewards or butlers supply a vase, and that flowers cannot be taken back into the U.S. A Carnival traveler report for Seattle said Carnival does not let passengers carry fresh flowers aboard on those Pier 91 sailings.

Listings

Hotel-drop listings are for the night before, at hotels the florist names. Terminal listings are the port-credential or arranged cruise-terminal paths we have. A Beautiful California Florist names the Queen Mary as a wedding and anniversary venue, not as a guest-room delivery program. Pink Clover is the hotel-drop listing that names the Queen Mary as a hotel. Neither is the cruise terminal.

Questions

How do I send anniversary flowers to a cruise cabin?

Order from the cruise line gift desk when that line has a working flower path and the deadline in the table has not passed. You order from the line; the line delivers to the stateroom, usually on embarkation day. If the deadline has passed, use the hotel the night before. Credentialed terminal delivery is the third path, and it is a port handoff rather than a cabin address. How it works walks through each one. The cutoff table quotes every line. We do not sell flowers or take orders.

Will a celebration package include the anniversary flowers?

Only when that line’s own flower record says so. Princess publishes celebration packages, and flowers on that gift desk are unverified. Norwegian’s English catalogue names Flowers and Romance Package orders, and the governing flower quote is the one-week rule on the line page. Cruisers reported finding no flowers in Norwegian celebration packages. P&O florist packages are a separate order from the celebration package a cruiser described. Read the line page and the cutoff table before you treat a package as flowers.

Will anniversary flowers be in the cabin when they board?

On a working gift desk, delivery is usually embarkation day, and the line’s own sentence is the one to trust. Carnival can deliver between 10:00am and 9:00pm that day, so an early boarder may get there first, and an order placed on embarkation day is not guaranteed that day. Cunard warns that high demand can push flowers to the following day. Norwegian delivers flowers only on the first day. A Princess traveler report said an anniversary arrangement arrived on time. That report is not a guarantee, and Princess flowers are unverified on this site.

Does the cabin include a vase for anniversary flowers?

Not as a rule we can quote from every line. Virgin Voyages does not allow fresh-cut flowers brought aboard. Holland America traveler reports say the vase that comes with a stateroom arrangement is yours to keep. Cruisers on other lines reported asking the steward for a vase. Those reports are not a policy. How it works is the delivery path; the vase question is separate.
